Horizon UptownHorizon Uptown, being developed by Lend Lease Communities will be a mixed use development occupying 500 acres at the southwest corner of Interstate 70 and E-470. It will include an estimated 4 million square feet of office and flex space, and 1.3 million square feet of retail space. Office and flex parcels will range two to 80 acres, according to Lend Lease. Their brokers Cushman & Wakefield will initially target aerospace, defense, health care, education and professional-services businesses for the space. Nearly 4,000 housing units are planned. The project is scheduled to break ground in the spring of 2008, and be completed in 2020. Lend Lease expects Horizon Uptown to employ 11,000 people when it's completed, and is just a 12-minute drive from the Front Range Airport.
